Your Dog's Best Side, Unfiltered

Hi, I'm Liv!

DSC05135.jpg

My love for photography started when I was in school, but it’s my four legged friends that truly brought my passion to life. Based in the beautiful Dorset countryside, I’m a self taught photographer and a firm believer that every animal has a story worth telling. My chief camera assistant and constant companion is my own Shar Pei cross staffy, Phoebe, who keeps me inspired every day.

Over the last two years, I’ve had the privilege of fostering dogs for Poppy’s Pals Rescue. Opening my home to everything from French Bulldogs to Cane Corsos to Heinz 57s has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

Working closely with rescue animals - especially those who are nervous, anxious, or reactive - has taught me how to read subtle dog body language and meet every pet at their own pace. More than anything, fostering showed me the true power of a single photograph: a great image can capture a dog's true personality and help them find their forever home.

Whether your pet is an outgoing energetic ball of fur or a quiet, sensitive soul, my goal is to create a calm, patient space where their true personality can shine.

"Liv captured our dog Ivy's personality perfectly! They were patient and encouraging, somehow managing to get an uninterested dog interested. If you need someone who truly understands and delivers amazing results then hire Liv immediately!"

We shoot at various scenic spots across Dorset, including Sandbanks Beach, Upton Country Park in Poole, Moors Valley Country Park near Verwood, and the New Forest. During our pre-session consultation, we will pick a location based on your dog’s personality -whether they prefer quiet woodland paths, open fields, or quiet beaches.

That is completely fine! Lots of the dogs we photograph stay on lead during their session for safety. I can remove leads during post production using Photoshop, giving you seamless, natural looking images where your dog appears to be running free while keeping them 100% safe. You get high-energy, action shots without compromising your dog's safety.

Overcast skies actually produce beautiful, soft lighting for pet portraits, but if heavy rain or stormy conditions are forecast, we simply reschedule your shoot at no extra cost. We monitor local weather forecasts leading up to your session date to ensure optimal lighting conditions.

Absolutely. Having worked with many anxious and sensitive dogs, I know that patience and safety are what matter most. We can arrange extended, unhurried sessions in quiet, low-traffic locations so your dog has plenty of time to relax and get used to me and the camera. I use long telephoto lenses to shoot from a comfortable distance, letting your dog take the lead while we go at their pace.

Your fully edited, high-resolution online gallery will be ready within just 7 days of your photoshoot. Your private gallery allows you to easily download high-res files for printing, and web ready versions for social media sharing.
